Where I live, mist isn’t a common sight. When it does roll in, though, I’m always captivated by how it changes the atmosphere, making everything feel rather peculiar. With the contrast softened, shapes shift and blur, wrapped in a muffled sensation that alters the world around me. My vision gets lost in the haze, sounds become faint, and even the scent of the air takes on a magical quality—a blend of dampness and earth.
In such conditions, even the everyday transforms into something new, curious, and undefined. For me, it’s the trees that steal the show: they stand tall like delicate lines, creating graphic patterns that draw the eye. In the photo, that lone tree on the hill emerges from the mist like a silent guardian, while in the woodland, the trees fade into a sea of grey, almost ethereal. I waited for the right moment, with the light barely filtering through, to capture this surreal stillness.
Mist isn’t just a phenomenon—it’s an invitation to look deeper, to uncover hidden details that usually slip by unnoticed. And each time, it reminds me how nature can surprise me, even just steps away from home.
La nebbia non è solo un fenomeno: è un invito a guardare oltre, a scoprire dettagli nascosti che di solito sfuggono. E ogni volta, mi ricorda quanto la natura possa sorprendermi, anche a pochi passi da casa.
